RAIN

It finally has started to rain again.

They say, “We need the rain.”

I have thought and said, “I don’t see why I need any rain.”

I understand that the farmers need the rain. Other than them…? They also say that the forests will be in danger of fires. But they say that every year. Plus, there were so few fires last year… they have a few to make up.

I have loved the blue skies we have had during 2005. We don’t normally see blue above until April or May. We’ve had it almost continually this year. It has been nice.

However, riding home on my bike in the rain tonight had a familiar feel to it. It felt good … almost refreshing. No it was. It felt like … home. It was like meeting an old friend.

I know I’m weird. But those of you who have grown up in Western Oregon might understand.

Youth Group was a doosy tonight (Middle Schoolers, ugh!!!) ... it was nice to have something else to think about.
